This one-day symposium addresses the general synthesis and characterization of synthetic soft materials and their broad application in biomedical fields. This year’s invited speaker is Northwestern’s [Professor Nathan Gianneschi](http://gianneschigroup.ucsd.edu/), Jacob & Rosaline Cohn Professor in the Departments of Chemistry, Materials Science & Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering.
