Arriving in Hangzhou
Check the station name on your ticket: Hangzhou East, Hangzhou and Hangzhou West are different stations. At Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, follow the signs for the metro or the official taxi queue. The airport lists Metro Lines 1, 7 and 19; check its current guide before choosing a service. For Haining or Zhoushan, confirm the onward journey with your host before booking.
Campus access
Arrange your visit with your host in advance. Confirm the campus, building, entrance, meeting time and any registration or identification requirements. A campus mailing address does not identify the correct gate. The Haining visitor portal has separate work-visit and public-visit booking options; it applies to the Haining International Campus only.
Exploring Hangzhou
West Lake, the Grand Canal and the Qiantang River offer different ways to explore Hangzhou beyond the campus. West Lake and the Grand Canal are part of the city's cultural landscape, while the Qiantang River runs through the city. Use the official city guide to plan a visit, check opening hours and reservation requirements with each attraction, and allow time to return to your campus or departure station.
