More Information About 2017 Symposium
The Notre Dame-Purdue Symposium on Soft Matter & Polymers and Poster Session will be held on Saturday, Sep, 16, 2017 at the Wilmeth Active Learning Center (RM3087) on Purdue Campus. This one-day symposium addresses the general synthesis and characterization of synthetic soft materials and their broad applications. In addition, the symposium will include a Science Forum and Tour targeting the participation of local high school and college students/teachers.
The day’s schedule, including speakers and topics, is below.
REGISTRATION
Symposium registration is now closed.
Please register by September 1, 2017. The registration is free of charge. Foods and drinks are provided. The organizers encourage students (including first year graduate students who are seeking for research groups) who are interested in materials research to register this event as early as possible.
CALL FOR POSTERS
In addition to the talks, graduate students and post doctoral fellows are invited to showcase their research results in an afternoon poster session, where prizes will be awarded for the best posters. Please forward this call for posters to your graduate students and postdocs who may be interested in presenting a related poster. (Students or faculty will need to cover the cost of poster printing.)
Poster presenters can use the link provided above to register their attendance and poster. Please register posters by September 1, 2017.
SPONSORS
The Symposium is co-sponsored by the Notre Dame College of Science, College of Engineering, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, and Center for Nano Science & Technology (NDnano); Purdue College of Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and J & K Scientific,
